5 Ways Risa Products Are Designed for Real Human Beings

When you’re shopping for cooking products, there are so many gimmicks and marketing tactics that you can’t see the forest from the trees. You’re inundated with jargon that you forgot why you were there in the first place: to buy a product that will improve your cooking experience. It’s as simple as that, but it can be pretty easy to forget.
When we were designing our lineup of products, we kept one question at the forefront of our minds: “How can we bring people together in the kitchen?” It turns out that a great way to achieve that goal is to make products that you really don’t have to think about at all, products that are so effective that you won’t even realize it over the laughter and chatter echoing around in your kitchen. That’s our vision.
So, as we designed our products and considered our goal, we made it our priority to solve real problems for real people. To prove it, we’re running through five examples of how that thinking worked its way into our designs.
Impossibly Non-Stick
A lot of cookware claims to be non-stick, which is great and all until you’re scraping charred bacon into the trash can. At Risa, we wanted to make our products live up to real-world tests, from rice krispy treats to caramel. So, we used the highest quality, food-safe sol-gel ceramic coating to ensure a perfect non-stick experience. Our Fusion HR coating outperforms traditional ceramic coatings in every way, which means you’ll spend less time cleaning our pans and don’t need to drown your dishes in oil or butter to keep them from sticking.
Non-Toxic in Every Way
We wrote another article explaining the harmful chemicals used in many cookware products, but here’s the punchline: We don’t use any of them. More than anything, the kitchen needs to be a safe space, so we designed all of our products to be BPA-free, BPS-free, and PFAS-free. If you don’t know what that means, then just know it means they’re safe for you and your family.
Handle Rest
Counter space is like cup holders and cinnamon rolls—you can never have too much. When we were designing our pots and pans, we kept imagining that scenario where the lid of our pot awkwardly wobbles around on the counter. Then, we realized that there was a solution right in front of our eyes. We created a lid that nests perfectly into the short handle of our pots and pans, holding it upright and off of the counter. It’s simple and effective, freeing up your counter space and reducing the amount of cleanup you have to do after dinner.
All Hail the Honeycomb
If you’ve ever tried to pan-fry French toast or scramble some eggs, you know how important it is to have heat that’s evenly distributed. Our products feature a one-of-a-kind induction plate using the perfect amount of steel and a honeycomb structure to evenly distribute heat whether you’re cooking on electric, gas, or induction stoves. This unique structure allows the cooking surface to heat up more evenly and slowly than circular designs, allowing you to be in control of how you cook. In other words, say goodbye to burnt pancakes once and for all.
An Ecosystem of Convenience
Our mission is to bring people together in the kitchen, and that means all people. Our lineup of pots and pans are designed to work perfectly with each other, as well as our lineup of accessories, including the Stackable Steamer, Serving Stand, Splatter Screen, and Pot Holders. But, here’s a little secret—they also work great individually. We know expenses add up quickly in the kitchen, so why not start with our Stackable Steamer? We know you’ll love it. Or, snag a pan and discover the magic of the lid rest. Or, pick it all up and enjoy an entire cooking system designed to create more memories in the kitchen. Either way, you can’t go wrong.
These are just a few of the ways we’ve kept real human beings in mind through our design process. It’s the little things that make all the difference—from making our pans oven-safe to including pot holders with each of them—and all of those little things add up to products that you really don’t have to think about at all. And that’s a beautiful thing.
